Comeback season 🙌

Why and what comes next.

Hi, this is Tanvi!

I’ll keep this short.

Two years ago, we stopped publishing this newsletter. Not a day has gone by that I haven’t regretted that decision.

But, as a 20-something student in Goa, with no capital or experience running a business, it’s a miracle I could keep it going that long.

Lot has changed between then and now. More on that soon.

For now, here’s the big news—I’m bringing Filter Coffee back, and I’m going to try to turn this into India’s finest market news brand.

We’ll keep the style same as before—insightful, funny, and easy to read. And focused on what young India cares about—money, markets, investing, and opportunity.

What’s new:

• We’re capitalized. We’ve managed to convince like minded and ambitious folks, who see the need for a brand like this to exist, to back us.

• We’re going to hire out rapidly, so we don’t buckle under pressure again.

• We’ll get into audio, video, to do what we do best—tell stories in a voice that’s fun and easy to understand.

And honestly, the problem we set out to solve still deserves attention.

Here’s why:

• Millions step into the markets for the first time every year, often struggling to make sense of things.

• For leaders and decision-makers, the need for curated, simplified insights is even more critical.

I’m fully aware that business media is not easy.

The economics can be challenging. Braver folks have tried and failed to make a dent.

But I believe we can bring a refreshing perspective. And frankly, I’d like to be remembered for trying against all odds.
